Forearms Continued/Training Routine

Forearms/Training Routine:
As I stated previously, I want to work on my forearms. However, up to this point in time, I never really understood JUST how important forearm and grip strength really is. A person's forearm/grip can be THAT difference between failing, achieving, or even saving. I have been thinking long and hard lately to come up with a routine that will suite my goal to improve what my body is lacking in.

Focus: Upper/Lower Back, Forearms, Grip Strength, Calves, Endurance.
These will all be my primary focus, however, I will obviously still be working on everything else.

Game Plan:
Tuesday - Fencing/Upper Body:
Week 1: Upper Endurance, punching bag, shadow boxing, etc.
Week 2: Weight Training
Week 3: Body weight, hand balancing, rope climbing, pull-ups etc
Week 4: Weight Training

Wednesday - Fencing/Lower Body:
Week 1: Sprinting/Endurance Training
Week 2: Weight Training
Week 3: Plyometrics, Body Weight Exercises
Week 4: Weight Training

Thursday - Fencing/Wrists/Forearm/Grip*

Friday - Core/Stretching
Week 1: Core
Week 2: Core
Week 3: Core
Week 4: Core

Sunday - Endurance/Sprinting/Wrists/Forearm/Grip*

These will not be lazy training exercises in the least. They will be high intensity in order to be as productive as possible. This goes for the Fencing as well. Our assistant coach has a new workout routine that is incredibly hard and never has an "end" per se, only progress to evaluate how you are doing. I look forward to doing that 2 (possibly 3) times a week.

Winter is what separates the dedicated from the non. In the words of an old coach "you are only as strong as your weakest muscle!" and I plan on improving the areas that are lacking (while (at least) maintaining or improving everything else). I will be starting the routine itself on Sunday. I really hope this plan works out.**
