B-Kick In Yo Face

Shift back to the summer: Part of the training that we did in China were acrobatics.... one of the moves that we were taught being the Butterfly Kick. For the life of me I just could not do it. I would always go into a twist instead of a kick. When I returned home I told myself to learn it.... I hadn't tried it since.

Present time: On Saturday we had our first indoor gym meet at our new gym location. One of the new guys (who also does Katana, which is pretty wicked) came out and tried a load of stuff. He was reluctant at first, but apparently is now hooked on Parkour :). We spent some time doing basic Parkour moves and eventually got onto acrobatics. So we were all doing our things, trying out some stuff, using the tumbling strip and foam pit, etc and then, out of nowhere, the new guy pulls out a Butterfly Kick. "You gotta teach me that now!" haha. Within 5 minutes of him showing me the proper execution, I had it. I'm really really happy at how easy it was once I understood the technique behind it.

Now I'm gonna go video tape myself doing it so I can fix up the quirks.

Sweeeeet.

Jogging:
The jogging has been working a ton. I can definitely notice my increase in endurance through fencing. I used to tire easily after 30 minutes of footwork and now it's going much smoother.
